Step 1 - Configuring copy in Bulk Optimisation

Set the writing direction Sprintr should use when improving listing copy.

Configuring copy in Bulk Optimisation

Copy settings control how Sprintr rewrites listing content during a Bulk Optimisation run.

You can use copy optimisation to improve SEO, make product descriptions clearer, refresh older listings, and apply a more consistent tone across multiple products.

Copy optimisation can include:

  • titles

  • descriptions

  • tags

Copy is included in Bulk Optimisation and does not use credits.

When to use copy optimisation

Use copy optimisation when you want to improve the written content across several listings at once.

For example, you may want to:

  • improve listings with low SEO scores

  • refresh old or thin descriptions

  • make product copy more benefit-led

  • add priority keywords across a product group

  • apply a consistent tone of voice

  • improve clarity and structure

  • update listings for a campaign, season, or trend

Bulk copy optimisation is especially useful when the selected listings share a similar brand, category, audience, or campaign direction.

Turning copy optimisation on or off

In the Configure step, you can choose whether Copy is included in the run.

If Copy is switched on, Sprintr will generate improved listing copy for each selected product.

If Copy is switched off, Sprintr will not rewrite titles, descriptions, or tags for that run.

You can combine Copy with Images and Videos, or run Copy on its own.

Copy details

The Copy details section lets you guide how Sprintr should write.

These settings apply across the selected listings, but Sprintr still adapts the output to each product.

For example, you might set a warm, benefit-led tone for the whole run, but Sprintr will still write different copy for a candle, a mug, and a storage basket based on each listing’s own product details.

Length

Length controls how detailed the generated copy should be.

Options may include:

Standard
A balanced option for most listings.

Concise
Shorter copy for simpler products or listings where you want a cleaner, more direct style.

Detailed
Longer copy for products that need more explanation, stronger storytelling, or more product information.

Custom
Where available, this lets you provide a more specific direction for the amount or style of copy you want.

Choose the length based on the type of product, the marketplace, and how much detail customers need before buying.

Emphasis

Emphasis tells Sprintr what kind of message to prioritise.

Options may include:

Balanced
A mix of product features, benefits, and search-friendly wording.

Benefits
Focuses more on what the product helps the customer feel, do, solve, or enjoy.

Feature
Focuses more on product details, materials, specifications, contents, dimensions, or functional information.

For example, a handmade gift item may work well with a benefits-led emphasis, while a technical product may need a more feature-led approach.

Tone

Tone controls the writing style Sprintr should use.

Depending on your setup, you may be able to choos preset tones.

The tone should match your brand and the expectations of the shoppers you are trying to reach.

For example, a luxury homeware brand may choose a more refined tone, while a family-focused gifting brand may choose something warmer and more conversational.

Priority keywords

Use Priority keywords to tell Sprintr which search terms matter most for this run.

Enter keywords as a comma-separated list.

For example:

handmade, organic, premium, ceramic mug, minimalist kitchenware

Sprintr will use these as guidance when rewriting the listing copy.

Priority keywords are not simply pasted everywhere. Sprintr uses them where they fit naturally and where they support the product.

Use keywords that are relevant to the selected listings. If the run includes very different products, keep the keywords broader or create separate runs for each product group.

Additional information

The Additional Information field lets you add any extra instructions that should apply to the run.

For example, you might include:

  • customer service details

  • delivery or care notes

  • campaign messaging

  • seasonal context

  • product positioning

  • words or phrases to include

  • claims or details Sprintr should be aware of

  • information that should appear in the description

This is useful when the standard product data does not contain everything Sprintr needs to write the best copy.

For example:

Customer care: Email us at [email protected] for any questions. Mention that these are handmade in small batches and designed for gifting.

Only include information that is accurate and safe to use across the selected listings.

Brand Voice Notes

You can add Brand Voice Notes from Asset Manager.

Brand Voice Notes help Sprintr understand how your brand should sound.

They can include guidance such as:

  • tone of voice

  • phrases to use

  • words to avoid

  • brand personality

  • audience positioning

  • writing style

  • messaging rules

For example, a Brand Voice Note might tell Sprintr to write in a calm, minimal, premium style and avoid exaggerated claims.

You can select Brand Voice Notes from your asset library and apply them across the selected listings.

This is useful when you want the generated copy to stay consistent with your wider brand.

Saving copy guidance as a Brand Voice Note

Where available, you can also save written guidance as a Brand Voice Note for reuse.

This is useful if you write copy guidance that you expect to use again in future single or bulk optimisation runs.

Saved Brand Voice Notes can be managed in Asset Manager.

Advanced copy settings

The copy section may also include advanced copy settings.

These are used when you want more control over the output.

For example, advanced settings may include extra direction. Use advanced settings when you have a clear reason to guide the copy more specifically.

For simpler runs, the default copy settings are usually enough.

How copy settings apply across multiple listings

Bulk copy settings are shared across the run.

That means the same overall direction is applied to all selected listings.

However, Sprintr still adapts the final copy for each product.

For each listing, Sprintr considers the product’s existing title, description, tags, store data, product context, and selected optimisation settings.

This means a shared tone or keyword direction does not produce identical copy for every listing.

Each listing receives its own optimised version.

Credit cost for copy

Copy optimisation is included.

It does not use credits.

If your run includes only Copy, you should not see image or video credit costs added for that run.

If your run also includes Images or Videos, the credit estimate will reflect those selected outputs.

Reviewing copy before it goes live

Generated copy does not go live automatically.

After generation, you will review the optimised copy before applying it.

In the Review step, Sprintr shows the current version and the optimised version side by side.

You can:

  • review the generated copy

  • edit it inline, where available

  • preview it

  • regenerate copy

  • approve it

  • skip it

Only approved changes are included when you publish or schedule the bulk update.

Good ways to configure copy

For best results:

  • choose listings that share a similar goal or audience

  • use priority keywords that are relevant to most selected listings

  • add Brand Voice Notes when tone matters

  • keep additional information accurate and reusable across the group

  • choose Benefits emphasis for emotional or gifting products

  • choose Feature emphasis for technical or specification-led products

  • use Detailed length when the product needs explanation

  • use Concise length when the listing needs a cleaner, simpler style

If the selected listings need very different writing styles, consider splitting them into separate bulk runs.

What you should take away

Copy settings tell Sprintr how to rewrite listing content across your selected products.

You can control the length, emphasis, tone, priority keywords, additional guidance, and Brand Voice Notes.

Copy optimisation is included and does not use credits.

Nothing goes live until you review and approve the generated copy.
