The Profit tab shows how the product’s price and recorded costs affect its profit and margin. Check that the costs are complete before relying on the assessment.
Read the breakdown
Open the product from My Stores and select Profit.
Read Sprintr Analysis and its analysis date.
In Profit Analysis, check the selling price, total costs and individual cost lines.
Review Profit / Sale and Current margin %. The displayed profit type reflects the store’s margin setting.
Check Target margin source. Using Sprintr Auto Target or Using Custom Target identifies the active source. A card marked Previous target is not the current target.
For a product with variants, select the variant you want to inspect before editing its costs or target. Read the scope of any option that applies a change to all variants.
Correct the costs
Select Edit beside total costs.
In Edit Total Costs, review the unit cost and existing additional cost lines.
Select Add Cost to open a new cost entry. Enter Cost Name and Amount, choose a fixed currency amount or percentage of selling price, and check Cost Category and Cost Type. The description is optional.
Select Add Cost to include the completed entry in the unsaved breakdown. Check for duplicate expenses and review the other cost lines.
Select Save Changes to save the breakdown, or Cancel to leave it unchanged. Allow the analysis to finish, then check the updated profit and margin.
If unit-cost syncing is on, a unit-cost change in Sprintr can update the connected marketplace. Check the store’s sync setting before editing values you also maintain in the platform.
Use one unit cost across product variants
Use this option when the editable variants of one product should share the same unit cost. It can replace different costs that those variants already have. Check the store’s unit-cost sync setting first, because supported synced edits can update the connected marketplace.
Open the variant product’s Profit tab, select a variant and choose Edit beside total costs.
Enter the intended Unit Cost.
Select Apply to all variants. This option appears when more than one variant can be cost-edited and the unit cost is not locked.
Select Review and save changes. Review the confirmation before applying anything: check included variants, existing costs that will be overridden, newly set costs and the available margin-change preview.
Select Apply to all with the displayed variant count only when the scope and amount are correct. Use Cancel or Back to editor to revise the change.
Read the outcome and allow analysis to finish. If some variants failed, use the offered Retry action for those failed variants; costs that already saved are kept.
In step 3, choose the wider scope only when every included variant should use the same unit cost.
Only the unit cost is copied to the other variants. Their additional cost lines are preserved; any additional-cost edits in your current editor apply to the selected variant. Check the preview for variants that are unchanged or excluded from cost editing.
Change the wider setup
Use Profit & Costs to manage Margin targets, reusable additional costs in Cost library, and each store’s calculation in Store settings. Gross margin uses product costs; contribution margin uses product and selling costs. The store’s choice affects the figures and target comparisons.
If the figures look too high
Look for missing unit costs, selling fees or other costs, and confirm that the margin type is the one you intend. “No preset lines applied” means no additional saved cost lines are included in that group; it is not evidence that the real-world cost is zero.
If saving only partly succeeds
Read the save message before trying again. If the unit cost was updated but extra costs were not saved, refresh and check the unit cost, then retry only the missing additional costs. If a preset was saved but the listing costs were not updated, check the library first so you do not create a duplicate. If the page could not refresh after saving, reload it before judging the displayed profit or margin.
