Review margin target performance

Find listings below target, inspect variant margins and resolve results that need more data.

Use the Margin targets view in Profit & Costs to find listings that meet their target, fall below it or include a variant selling at a loss. This view compares current margins with their assigned targets; it does not show profit from past sales.

Find the listings to review

You need a connected store and access to Profit & Costs. Allow the store’s analysis to finish so its current prices, costs and targets are available.

  1. Open Profit & Costs and choose Margin targets.

  2. On Sprintr Auto Target Margins or a saved custom target, select View listings. You can also select a Meeting target, Below target or Selling at a loss count to open that group.

  3. Choose a Margin status filter, such as Below target or Needs more data. The count shows how many listings match.

  4. Use Search listings to find a product or store. Under Sort by, choose the margin order that helps your review; use the lowest margin first to find weaker results.

  5. Select View listing on a result and inspect its Profit tab. Check the price, unit cost, additional costs, target source and individual variants before deciding what to change.

Filter by margin status to focus your review. In this example, no listings match Needs more data; Clear filters restores the full list.

Understand the status

  • Meeting target: the relevant listing or variants have a complete assessment and meet or exceed their targets.

  • Below target: an assessed listing or variant is below its target.

  • Selling at a loss: at least one assessed listing or variant has a margin below 0%. A loss takes priority when variants have different results.

  • Needs more data: Sprintr cannot confirm a complete margin and target assessment. Check missing costs, the target assignment and whether analysis has finished.

Check the margin range and variants

A margin range shows the assessed variants using that target. One variant can make a loss while another meets its target. A high overall Profit score does not replace checking those individual results.

A listing can appear under more than one target when its variants use different targets. The view for each target includes only the relevant variants. The margin also follows the store’s selected Optimisation Margin Type, so check whether you are reviewing gross or contribution margin.

If a result is missing or looks wrong

  • Select Clear filters if your search or status filter returns no results.

  • Check the listing’s recorded costs and target. Missing costs are not evidence that the item costs nothing.

  • After correcting a cost or assignment, select Refresh to reload the performance view. If store analysis is still running, allow it to finish.

  • Use the current margin and cost breakdown alongside your own business records. This view does not include sales history or confirm that every business expense has been recorded.
